Abstract Camellia

It was mid February last year when I posted a photoshoot I did of our two camellia trees and two camellia bushes in full bloom. I just finished the attached art prints inspired from that shoot.

I created these prints using an abstract watercolor technique to replicate the brilliant colors of the blooms and clean ink lines to the define the petals, leaving a vibrant contemporary look.

Really like this look & effect, Kirt! Amazing choices on your digital watercolor, beautiful! Were the ink lines digital or hand controlled via the digital brush? Either way, I know you had to make decisions how the lines went in – amazing effect!

What a fascinating effect Kirt. I actually reached toward the screen as the lines give the flower such depth. Such vibrant shades are warming our winter weary days. Always a pleasure to see the art you are creating. Such diversity in your finished pieces. Beautiful!
