I wanted to display another new addition to my Floral/Still Life Gallery that also came from the Arizona Territorial Rose Garden Photo Shoot I posted about in November from Prescott, Arizona. With this print I created the single rose bud using a gothic oil technique that creates an old world look with the earthen color tones. The look is totally different than the watercolor rose I posted last week, but each brings its own unique look between the two totally different techniques. Thoughts?

I like the warmth of this look. I can almost smell the rose.
Thank you very much Darlene…totally different look than the other rose…
Kirt, the effects you chose are perfect for this photo. It puts me in mind of a quote I enjoy. “A single rose can be my garden… a single friend, my world…” Leo Buscaglia.
Have a marvelous Monday. Mega hugs.
Thank you for the feedback Teagan….I like this look with certain subjects…have a great week!
I enjoy all these digital processes you know and use Kirt. This one definitely has an old world appearance. To me, it looks like an old print.
Thanks Brad…lots of experimentation over the years to achieve the look I want with what I call Gothic Oil. I appreciate the feedback!
You do very well with these techniques, Kirt. This is a great look.
Thanks Dan…years of trial and error and playing with code…

Almost a surreal quality about it. As though the rose might fall right out of the screen. Beautifully done!
