A Sitting Room And A Garden Gate

I have shared a number of my prints where I used a Fauvism technique. Today I am sharing two more from my architecture gallery. They both highlight the bright and somewhat surreal boldness of this technique, but in slightly different ways.

The first one I’m sharing is called Sitting Room. This highlights the abstract shapes and bold colors so typical of the fauvism style. The subject matter is a simple room with a desk and furniture for lounging or talking.

The second one is a much more simplistic subject, an arched wooden garden door leading from a patio to the yard. The shapes are not as abstract as the prior print, but the bold surreal colors make a statement.

Thoughts? As I have said before, everyone reacts to visual art techniques and looks differently, so I am not in the least offended by opinions.

Had some system issues, so sorry for the late replay! That said…it’s a fun technique to play with as it does create a very unique visual! Thanks for stopping by Dan!

A nice seasonal opening, Kirt. The color tones and shapes seem to show similarities with some stained glass formats. Cheers

I noticed the difference between abstract shapes as in the 1st painting and the 2nd door which with the weathering it looks so realistic in your painting. Both the sitting room and garden door are amazing works of art! 🎨😀
