I wanted to share some prints I created of rose buds. Roses are so beautiful as they go from a colorful bud to a full bloom. This is the time of year we start to see them spring forth in a number of flower gardens.
The delicate beauty of a new bud starting to open.
As they continue to open……
and widen the bloom, their beauty only grows with.

Roses are the perfect flower. You depicted them very well. They bloom year-round here but are difficult to grow as they don’t like the extreme heat.
Thanks for the feedback Darlene!! They grow year round in Southern California also. The blooming aspect goes somewhat dormant for a couple of months during the winter, but the bushes just keep getting bigger and bigger.
Those are lovely! Did you emphasize the edges a bit, or is that just the way the roses grew?
As part of the digital art process, I did emphasize the edges with some minor drawing and then worked through the watercolor process digitally!! Thanks for stopping by Diane!!
