There is something mysterious and unique about dwellings you find off by themselves on rugged coastal bluffs. They create an air of simplicity and peacefulness amongst some of natures most dramatic scenes. These two structures sit right off the infamous Pacific Coast Highway in Oregon.

Both of these settings spur the imagination of what life would be like living this remotely with endless views of the Pacific Ocean and the coastal surf below you.

Gorgeous images, Kirt. I’ve always wished for a house with a beautiful view — and when I take the limits off my dreams — one with an ocean view. Indeed these do set the imagination soaring. I can imagine stories unfolding in either… Mary Stewart like stories maybe… Hugs on the wing.

There is such an appeal when I come across these types of settings!! The rugged Oregon coastline is a stunning setting!!

These are great images, Kirt. I’ve driven that highway, and there are some wonderful views to be had. The first photo made me think “Oops, there goes another volleyball.”
LOL…I can so see that volleyball going over the cliff…..that drive is stunning for sure!

Summed up perfectly….”a little fear” was always circling in the back of my head for a variety of reasons…seclusion, weather, height to name a couple of things….but what awesome views and setting!
