A great post from Travel Tales of Life by Sue Slaght. Sue has been posting fellow bloggers experiences with the pandemic from around the world. This week is from across the United States and she asked me to contribute from Los Angeles.
Sue Slaght – Over the past weeks we have been inviting readers from across the globe to share their COVID-19 stories. We began with views on the pandemic from Thailand, Mexico, Spain and Australia. Last week we gratefully received contributions from Chile, England, Finland and Portugal. Although thousands of miles often separate the writers, one consistent theme rings true. COVID-19 is life altering and we as humanity battle a common foe. This week we welcome contributions from across the United States. Our heartfelt thanks to the authors of these pieces. For those that have provided links to their own blogs or social media we encourage you to visit.

I love this feature on Sue’s blogsite. I particularly enjoyed reading your post. I’m so glad your wife is OK and you’ve been able to communicate via social media with your family. May you and your loved ones continue to stay safe and well. xo
Thanks Darlene….I so enjoyed yours and all of them. It does reinforce the fact that we are all in this together!! Stay well…my best to you!
LA freeways are never quiet – except now. Crazy times
It’s spooky and erie…take care!!
Wonderful, Kirt! And beautiful surrounds to wait out the crisis – stay well, all the best! 😊
Thank you very much Felipe!! It helps to have some private outdoor space…an oasis shall we say! My best to you and your family!!
I can imagine! We were social distancing Easter with our youngest grandchild, and we told him (7 yrs old) how lucky he was to have a place to play and not have to worry ‘bout being impinged 😊 Enjoy, stay well, and keep that knee moving! 😊
Thanks Felipe….take care!!
I like your backyard Kirt, and more importantly, I’m glad you and your wife are safe after exposure. It is erie to see so many places quiet, but also soothing to my soul. I hope we all learn to live simpler, gentler lives.
Thanks Brad!! The backyard is an oasis from the city!! I support your last comment….be safe and have a great weekend!!
Thanks!
LOL – love it!
The empty highways are so weird!! Is that your backyard?? It’s gorgeous!
Weird especially for Los Angeles. All of the freeways are usually jammed almost 24 hrs a day, truly. Yes, that’s our backyard…an oasis from the city!!
Gorgeous

To see the freeways of LA empty… it is more surreal than any horror movie. Thanks for sharing this, Kirt. Hugs!

I actually thought “spooking” was a perfect description. 😀
