“Urban Snowfall” Excerpts from a Photo Shoot

Ok, there is irony in the title…the pictures look like they are deep in the woods, when in fact they are in the middle of a highly populated area of Seattle. Close to the intersection of two major freeways and multiple business highrises, I capture these shots of the seasons first and sometimes only snowfall in the Seattle area. The snow occurred in the early morning hours mid December and stayed on the ground into the early afternoon.  I intentionally tried to capture a deep woods look as I was nowhere near a place to hike into the woods and knew I would have a limited time to capture the snow before it melted. Enjoy!!

Kirt these are great photos. I love the fact that the snow melts so fast you have to be quick with the camera to capture the images. Not so much the case in Calgary. Although today we are having a very warm day…not to worry…more snow tomorrow. 🙂

That’s why I commented on yours about it being real snow:) Seattle gets a lot of rain and is cold, but only gets a couple of snow falls per season that doesn’t amount to much…..up in the mountains…totally different story! Enjoy the snow!
